Personally
I was born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota. Spending time on the shore of Lake Superior is one of my favorite things to do. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with an Elementary Education degree. My first couple years out of college were spent working with international students at UMD as well as being a teacher's aide for the 2nd and 3rd Grade classrooms in a private school. When I married my husband in 2002, we moved to the Twin Cities. My first job here in the cities was as a Deli Manager at Andy's Lunchbox - a part of Andy's Garage on University and Fairview in St. Paul. This restaurant is now closed.
Professionally
In 2004, I started teaching at Liberty Classical Academy. Liberty had been open one year when I was hired as a combined 2nd and 3rd Grade classroom teacher. Not only did I learn how to run a classroom, but I helped administratively organize the Lower School. It is my joy to now be a part of Nova Classical Academy. I began teaching at Nova in 2011, bringing with me experience in classical education, along with a desire to transform children's lives.
